We are patiently awaiting evacuees from the coast. The hurricane is headed our way and is predicted to arrive in Austin Saturday afternoon. By the time it reaches us it will be lots of rain and approximately 27 mph winds. I went to Costco and HEB today and everyone was buying water and batteries. Costco was slammed!!! The stake has plans in the works to care for many of the missionaries from Houston. They will stay in the stake center ( for the boys) and with members (the girls). This same plan was very crazy, but went well when hurricane Rita hit a few years ago. We were prepared to have them when Gustav was threatening, but alas it was not necessary. My, my, my those Mormons are prepared. The state has offered our schools as shelters. Earlier the high school was supposed to be closed tomorrow, but they are trying to make things as normal as possible for the students and not many, if any, people have come, so they are still having school. The kids will get out 2 hours early however. I don't think the storm will be as bad as they had originally anticipated. The kids are funny to watch. They are quite nervous. Brooke seems to think that because it's going to rain so much that Berkeley's friend Caleb won't be able to play on Saturday. Typical "bossy" Brooke.
Well, with that much said about the crazy weekend ahead, here's a funny video. It reminds me of the times when Brooke does this with Berkeley. She's 8 and she still volunteers her fingers for the biting. I think she just wants to get Berkeley in trouble.
